Can We Have Grace without Selling Out?
A new book helps us understand how to survive our polarizing times while still holding true to our convictions.
I was humbled when Kirsten Powers, CNN political analyst and national news columnist, reached out to me for a conversation.
When she told me she was writing a book about grace, I admit I was skeptical. Was this going to be some kind of both-sidesism argument about how both the Left and the Right are equally wrong and we have to compromise truth in order to learn to live with each other.
Kirsten is wiser than that. She’s talking about something deeper in her new book Saving Grace: Speak Your Truth, Stay Centered, and Learn to Coexist with People Who Drive You Nuts.
Will you take about 20 minutes to join us for a conversation about grace, truth, and not throttling the people with whom we disagree? It’ll be tomorrow, November 11, at 10 am CST on my IG Live.
P.S. Be sure to follow both Kirsten (@KirstenPowers) and me (@JemarTisby) on Instagram.
This will be in the Podcast archive for future listening, correct-- I hope? And/ or the text of the podcast? I would be very interested to hear it on the non- Instagram platform. I am not on IG, nor plan to be in the future (nor Twitter, etc.). Thanks, and continued blessings!
