In 2021 I studied "How to Fight Racism" with a group from the task force to "STOP Racism, Excessive Violence, and Silence." Your book is so important to me that it sits on my desk next to Rev. King's 15 Sermon series "Strength to Love." I use your principles of Awareness, Relationship, and Commitment not only within the task force but in all tasks that are daunting. I am currently involved with trying to invite our neighbors of diversity to come to our Church. I am starting by making others in our Church Aware that we are fading. I am hoping we will build Relationships with those that are as concerned as am I, and then asking them to Commit to a sacrifice of their time, minds, souls and bodies. You have touched me deeply with your words and your testimonies to your struggles and perseverance. Earlier in 2021 the group studied your book "The Color of Compromise." It made me sadly Aware that my Methodist denomination was instrumental in enforcing slavery and segregation. Your book was the main reason that my sleeping Anti-Racism drove me to make a change.
