"How to Fight Racism" Celebration Giveaway
Win a free copy of HTFR to commemorate winning a Christian Book Award
It’s every author’s dream to have enough time and space to devote themselves to writing. If you become a paid subscriber you can help me gain the freedom to write more books and articles. Would you consider becoming a paid subscriber today?
I poured all my passion for racial justice into writing How to Fight Racism in the hopes that it would help transform our approach to a crisis that has shackled society for centuries.
The publishing team and I faced many obstacles in spreading the word about How to Fight Racism. We couldn’t even pay for advertisements on some social media sites because new rules they put in place wouldn’t allow the words “fight” and “racism” to appear in ads.
We also launched on January 5, 2021 (the day before the January 6th Insurrection!) and during the COVID-19 pandemic which meant we could not have traditional in-person book events to promote the book.
Nevertheless, people wanted a resource to help move from just talking about racism to actually fighting against it.
To date we have over 870 reviews on Amazon with a 4.8 out of 5-star average rating. It’s also listed as an “editor’s pick” for nonfiction.
Folks have really resonated with the ARC of Racial Justice framework, because it is a practical tool for taking action against racism. And I keep hearing stories about how people are using the book in the churches, non-profits, and families to work for racial justice.
Now we can add one more accolade to the book…
Winner of the ECPA Christian Book Award in the “Faith & Culture” category!
I found out about the award earlier in the summer, but I wanted to share the news more broadly for two reasons…
We need to celebrate our own hard work and effort. I also want to share this information as a way to thank all the people who have bought, read, and engaged with the book.
You are the reason I wrote this book, and it is an answer to prayer that it has proven beneficial to so many. Winning an award is simply a sweet addition to an already fulfilling, if challenging, experience.
One more thing…as a special thank you, we’re giving away two free copies of the How to Fight Racism.
All you have to do is:
Comment below telling me about someone you’d like to read the book alongside.
Forward/email this post to the person you mentioned.
Feel free to keep the book if you don’t already have it, or send it to someone you think should read it.
Thank you for your support of my work. Let’s celebrate!!!

I would like to read this with my cousin. Her and I are in an uphill battle trying to open the eyes of other family members about racism!
