In Pursuit of Justice
Join me and other contributing authors for a live event for the book release of "People Get Ready"
What do you think of this for a book title?
People Get Ready: Twelve Jesus-Haunted Misfits, Malcontents, and Dreamers in Pursuit of Justice
“Jesus-haunted” and “misfits”? Sounds like a book I have to check out.
The best part is, the book is out now, and I’d love to see you at our live virtual book launch on Friday at 6:30 pm ET. It’s going to be on YouTube. Just click HERE to join.
I’ll be there along with editors Shea Tuttle (author of Exactly as You Are: The Life and Faith of Mister Rogers), Peter Slade (author of Open Friendship in a Closed Society: Mission Mississippi and a Theology of Friendship), and Jacqueline Bussie (author of Love Without Limits: Jesus' Radical Vision for Love with No Exceptions).
I’m excited to talk about my latest research on a passion project I’ve been pursuing for most of a decade: Tom Skinner and the history of Black evangelicals in the 20th century. Here’s the entire table of contents:

Can’t wait!! I love the title too! ‘People Get Ready’- i sure want to get on that train and be inspired and learn from others who are/ did - live their faith.
I recognized a few names from the chapters but most will be new to me- excited to know about more real life heroines and hero’s- and to give my kids more examples and role models of how boldly loving we can live in our short time down here on earth and the incredible impact it makes.
