Racial Justice at Work and in the Environment with Abigail Oduol
The third episode of our Fighting Racism series is out now. You won't want to miss it!
Thank you so much to my paid subscribers for helping to fund this Fighting Racism series. It allows us to get to know people like this episode’s guest, Abigail. Is today the day you join us as a paid subscriber?
Environmental injustice disproportionately impacts communities of color. Your skin color or zip code should not predict the health of the environment around you. Yet that is the predictable, lamentable, reliable reality.
Today’s guest, Abigail Oduol, tells us about the work she does with Earthjustice, a law firm doing legal advocacy around environmental justice.
She is a Senior Development Officer for this company of over 500 employees.
In addition to promoting environmental justice, Abigail is also a leader in making her workplace more sensitive to internal diversity issues though a group she started called BAE - Black At Earthjustice.
I know that after you listen to this interview, you will be empowered to apply some of these principles in your own workplace for increasing diversity and making places more welcoming and safer for people of color.
