I am really enjoying the Spirit of Justice books - all age levels. I ordered (from a local bookseller) the two children’s books and sent them to our Executive Director of Freedom Schools. I was thrilled to share the books with her.
I am reading "I Have a Dream: Writings and Speeches That Changed the World" by Martin Luthor King Jr. for Black History month. I really appreciate the context provided by Coretta Scott King and the editing by James M. Washington. Are there other voices who can give me insights into the Civil Right Movement 30 years after Martin Luther King Jr.? All movements evolve, grow and expand. I am looking for guidance, especially for Latinx as Idaho's population is greatly impacted by the whims of the federal administration. I am looking for some spiritual substance to match on the ground actions.
It's been mentioned that there is not a sign-up link in the e-mail. Perhaps this can be our "sign up" on here, and we can be sent the link? I do plan on the Office Hours tomorrow! Blessings! :)

My book club is reading The Color of Compromise this month. As I prepare for the discussion this Saturday, I'd love to know 2-3 key things you want readers to carry with them after reading this book.
May I suggest that you start with what made the biggest impression on you and then invite all the others to do the same. Where is your heart most moved to act, now that you’re emboldened with the facts? What is your skill set that could evoke change? What could you as a group pursue that would make a social justice impact in your circle? I’m a complete, anonymous layman, although I do know that book can’t help but change you. And then you’re responsible, because now you know.
Sign me up!
I have put it on my calendar as a recurring appointment and hope to join tonight!
I’d like to sign up. Is there a place to click that I’m missing?
Hi Amy! Paid subscribers will receive another email with the zoom link later today!
I would also like to sign up but I am not seeing a link in the email. Thank you.

Love to try to attend
