It's My Birthday! Three Ways to Help Me Celebrate
And all of them can be done in five minutes or less.
Happy Earth Day! It’s also my birthday.
I’m grateful for another year. It’s been an eventful one that has included a new job and a move to a new city.
My first trip to west Africa. I went to Benin with a group called the Dialogue on Race and Faith. Look for our edited book coming out of InterVarsity Press next year.
And lots, and lots, and lots of writing!
I appreciate all the birthday wishes. Here are three other ways you can help me celebrate my birthday.
1. Become a paid subscriber to my Substack.
Maybe you’ve been here a while and have kicked around the idea but you haven’t made the decision yet. Or maybe you’re new here.
Either way, the best method of supporting my work in history, religion, and racial justice is to give me the autonomy to say what needs to be said so we can raise our awareness and move forward on this journey.
You can also simply share this post with a friend and say, “You gotta check out this guy’s work!”
2. Buy a copy of How to Fight Racism.
We just released the paperback version. I even added a new introduction based on all that’s happened in the past year or so. I’m also proud that HTFR won the 2022 ECPA Christian Book Award for Faith & Culture! Grab a copy wherever books are sold.
3. Leave a book review.
If you’ve appreciated any of my books, would you leave a 2-3 sentence review describing why you found it helpful or what you liked about it?
Thanks so much for celebrating with me today!
Birthdays are a great opportunity to hear from friends and associates, so feel free to drop a comment below. And make sure you mention if you have a birthday today, too!
Happy Birthday 🎉🎁🎈🎂
Happy happy birthday! I'm going through the Color of Compromise study (videos/workbook) with a church group in the Denver area. It's been so very helpful and we are so very thankful for you!
