Amen brother and may we all act, breathe and live and love in the light while exposing darkness. I am writing, calling and protesting like never before as a 78 year old white man to bring soul and joy and hope to our world and especially to allow freedom and democracy to shine on the darkness of lawlessness and hate. I am thankful for you brother! Easter blessings to you
Thank you Jemar for taking the freedom to speak truth to power! God continues to use you to enlighten, inspire and and encourage us.
I was reflecting on how light shows up against the backdrop of darkness. When darkness deepens, I realize that even the smallest act of going outside of ourselves to love and protect others 'different' from us, shines like a star.
At twilight these actions are visible and life-changing and many are blessed.
But as darkness deepens on the land, the smallest act of justice becomes even more powerful, because it shows up in greater relief, inspiring others to join.
Look up at the sky at midnight. See the endless panoply of stars: those are the "7,000 prophets who have not bowed to Baal". That's what God reminded the prophet Elijah when he thought he was alone in the struggle.
We're out here. And we are not alone. Let's stay strong!
Thank you dear Jemar as you spread the Light in all you do, all you teach, and all that you are.
The call within the call now- may we all bring this Light together. Appreciate this start to my Good Friday.

Amen, Dr. Tisby.
Thanks Jemar for calling us to respond uniquely as followers of Jesus in this difficult time. Have a blessed Easter.
