Thank you for affirming what has been moving in me. Finding joy in responding to the Spirit and using my gifts to serve in new ways at this time.
Your discernment questions are excellent! I will be using them with people I accompany in spiritual direction and keep referring people to you for guidance.
This is a great post! It is encouraging to see you draw upon on your theological knowledge as an historian, something you've always done. Jesus said "You are the light of the world." Too often Christ followers are trying to be lights in the church, but that's not where the light is needed. We are already lights. Light needs to shine in darkness. I did a brief talk on this a few days ago.
Certainly, everyone's gifts and calling from God vary. But every believer is called to shine their light in such a way to both expose darkness and enlightening people to truth.
You have been consistent in reminding us that all that is happening is happening in the spiritual realm also. We are each called for doing our part in this work. I am thankful for your teaching and guidance.
my light lane is doing writing groups in nature with my little herd of donkeys and a horse. Community and creativity and nature help in these times --to process and to maintain the health to express and find gifts of the spirit.
This was so good -- finally became a paid subscriber. I have been a beneficiary of your content for many years. A friend introduced me to your podcast when it was Pass The Mic with Tyler Burns years ago. Your Color of Compromise book was convicting and eye-opening. I am a student of history and used to teach American History and Govt. many moons ago. Your writings resonate with me. Thanks for all you do.
