Thanks so much for all the insight, history and back round to the movie. My wife and I plan to see it this weekend. Our son and daughter have seen it and said it was fantastic and everyone should see it. Thanks again Jay Pringle

So grateful for Dr. Jemar Tisby's fun teach-in with Garrison Hayes, syllabus, & highlighting important culture & history--from Dr. Tisby's lived experience too! I see the "Sinners" movie includes "Old Corn Liquor" by Rhiannon Giddens & Justin Robinson. I'm a fan of Rhiannon Giddens' music with truth-telling during performances too. (https://wamu.org/story/25/05/20/rhiannon-giddens-love-letter-to-the-music-of-north-carolina/, & banjo in Beyoncé's "Texas Hold Em."

I look forward to watching the "Sinners" movie & would have skipped the vampire/horror movie without Dr. Tisby's highlights.

Thank you so much for this very insightful background to the movie. We saw it last night - and I can’t stop thinking about it! I’d love to know more of your thoughts about the vampires in the movie and what they might represent? I don’t think they’re “simply”gratuitous horror - although they certainly create a lively movie experience!
