I learned nothing in school about the Emancipation Proclamation except it’s declaration to free the slaves.

I appreciate hearing the facts as the onion πŸ§… πŸ§… πŸ§… is peeled pack for us.

Thank you for that. I do feel a clear sense that the war isn’t over, even a 150 years later... thus I cannot help but wonder πŸ’ πŸ’ πŸ’ what purposes God had, has, and next has planned for humanity...

- as well as the myriad of chasms that divide the body-of-Christ by significant historical facts including this, The Emancipation Proclamation.

Thank you again.

THE EMACIPATION WAS A GREAT BREAKTHROUGH THAT STILL IS NOT FULLY EXPERIENCED IN WHITE LEANING AMERICA. WITHOUT IT WE WOULD BE VERY LESS AWARE TODAY. THANK YOU FOR THIS SHARING..

I have never read the Emancipation Proclamation nor was I ever taught, or even read about, all of its exceptions. Interesting to note that I grew up in "liberal" Oregon.

Thank you for an enlightening article.

Sincerely,
