White people's insistence that the murderer was a "lone wolf" is the beginning of denial and passive complicity in injustice, oppression, and racism. It makes those using that excuse feel comfortable and gives them just enough distance to allow them to turn away and not examine themselves and even imagine their complicity. I say these things as a 60 year old white man who has lived in Memphis, TN al of my life.
